About Joe Budden

Joseph Anthony Budden is an American rapper, born in Spanish Harlem, New York City. His sole studio album release was the self titled Joe Budden which produced the 2003 summer hit "Pump It Up". Joe had been working on his second album titled The Growth since 2004, however it has suffered numerous delays, leading some to speculate that the album is in some sort of music equivalent of development hell, though he denied this. Following his release from Def Jam, Budden had stated in an interview with Paul Rosenberg that the current status of the album is over. Budden explained that "The Growth" as he knew it had "probably been released" in the form of song from Mood Muzik 2 and 3. Currently a free agent, Budden explained in the same interview that he hoped to have a deal in place early next year for a second album.
